My biggest pet peeve is when people are oblivious to the space they occupy with respect to other occupants of that space. They come in various sizes but they share a common obliviousness. I’m being generous, here. They might also just be jerks. Their obstructions are not limited to spaces with a focal point either; they can (and do) occur everywhere. They are the East Coasters’ heaviest cross to bear when in Los Angeles. I just can’t imagine being so comfortable. In Baltimore, where I’m from, you’d be yelled at and then abruptly shoved. Just thinking about it makes me homesick.

I feel this so much. I also get so mad when other people seem to just not notice the fact that they live in a world with other people. Like, I spend all this time trying SO HARD to be considerate of how my actions/presence might inconvenience someone else, what's *your* excuse, asshole??? Robert's piece + this comment made me think of this relatable John Paul Brammer bit, about that instinct to be irritated with people who seem like they're willfully refusing to be conscientious https://johnpaulbrammer.substack.com/p/low-risk-flier

I love all your stories about Hot Tub Guys. Also agreed that Caroline Rose is great. I'm also a huge complainer and I'm pleased to see a defense of being a big nitpicky critic about everything. It has its uses!!!
